From High-level Mathematical Equations to Large-scale Distributed Hybrid Computing: Introduction to CaKernel
CaKernel is an innovative solution for large-scale computing. It is capable of transforming high-level mathematical models based on partial differential equations into highly-optimized computational modules for the Cactus computational framework. It uses MPI, OpenCL, CUDA and OpenMP to target different architectures and perform calculations in a highly parallel manner. It is capable of transforming complex equations at a high level to limit the data and computation complexity in order to fit chosen architectures.
