TCHPC Spin-out company awarded the Trinity College Dublin Innovation Award for 2010

The Trinity College Dublin Innovation Award for 2010 has been won by the founders of Creme Software, a company which assesses consumer exposure risk to food contamination and environmental concerns. It was founded as a TCD spin-out company of the Trinity Centre for High Performance Computing from research in mathematical physics and medicine at the University.

HPC Europa2 Next Transnational Access Call open

HPC-Europa2: Pan European Research Infrastructure on High Performance Computing - Research visits using High Performance Computing

HPC-Europa2 is an EU funded FP7 programme which allows scientists to carry out short "transnational access" research visits to collaborate with a research department working in a similar field. Applicants can be working in any discipline, but MUST require the use of High Performance Computing facilities (for large-scale computer modelling, etc.)

Research from TCD Physics and TCHPC on Solar Mass Ejections in Nature publication

A team of researchers from the School of Physics and the Trinity Centre for High Performance Computing have announced new insights into the mechanisms by which solar storms travel from the Sun to the Earth. Their results, published in the journal Nature Communications, will enable scientists to better forecast the arrival time and impact of solar storms on our planet. The research was funded by Science Foundation Ireland.
