EECM – Early English Church Music

The Early English Church Music Primary Source Database comprises inventory records from the two printed supplements to the EECM series:

The Sources of English Church Music, 1549–1660, Parts I & II, compiled by Ralph T. Daniel and Peter le Huray (London: Stainer & Bell, 1972)

Latin Music in British Sources, c.1485–c.1610, compiled by May Hofman and John Morehen (London: Stainer & Bell, 1987)

The content of these supplements remains the copyright of The British Academy, and is reproduced by permission. Further relevant content will be added to the database in due course.

Errors and omissions known to be present in the printed supplements, and others contracted during the digitization process, will be amended on an ongoing basis by members of the EECM editorial committee.

Data that have been verified for a given source will be indicated as such on the relevant source descriptor page. With sources that have yet to be verified, users are strongly advised to check for themselves the data given here.

The committee would be pleased to hear of any addenda or corrigenda, and ask that these are submitted by email to Andrew Johnstone at Trinity College Dublin.
