HPC Europa2 Next Transnational Access Call open

HPC-Europa2: Pan European Research Infrastructure on High Performance Computing - Research visits using High Performance Computing

HPC-Europa2 is an EU funded FP7 programme which allows scientists to carry out short "transnational access" research visits to collaborate with a research department working in a similar field. Applicants can be working in any discipline, but MUST require the use of High Performance Computing facilities (for large-scale computer modelling, etc.)

Visitors (successful applicants) work closely with a "host" research group working in a similar field of research - over 200 host research groups in 7 EU countries are currently associated with the programme (see http://www.hpc-europa.eu/ for more details). Visits can last between 3 weeks and 3 months and HPC-Europa2 funds the visitors' travel and living costs and provides accommodation for the duration of the visit.

The programme is open to researchers of all levels, from postgraduate students to the most senior professors. Following EU guidelines, applications are particularly encouraged from the new EU member countries and those who do not have access to similar computing facilities at their home institute.

The next closing date for applications is MONDAY 15th NOVEMBER 2010. Closing dates are held every 3 months, and the HPC-Europa2 programme continues until December 2012.

Further information, guidelines, and the on-line application form can be found at http://www.hpc-europa.eu/. Alternatively, you can contract the Irish contact point for more details at hpc-europa@tchpc.tcd.ie
