These guidelines show how to access the samba storage facilities at TCHPC.

Account application

• Apply for an account at https://www.tchpc.tcd.ie/support/apply/storage01/

Confirm your application

• You will receive an email with a confirmation key. Follow the instructions.

Present your Staff/Student ID

• Visit us with your staff/student ID.
• We shall enable your account.
• You will receive an email with the location of your new data share.

Map the network drive to your computer.

• Open the "My Computer" window from your desktop.
• Select 'Tools' --> 'Map Network Drive'

• Select the drive letter to map too (Z: in this case).
• Enter the folder provided in your confirmation email.
• Insure the 'Reconnect at logon' option is selected.

• Select 'Finish'
• Enter your username and password in the next screen

• Your new storage space is now mapped to your selected drive.
