Before continuing please make check that you have an account on the storage system that you wish to access. The following instructions are for Mac OSX 10.4 (Tiger), these instructions should apply to OSX 10.5 and 10.6.

1. Go to finder
2. Click on "Go" in the menu bar, then select "Connect to Server"
3. A window will pop up prompting you to put in a "Server Address" in our example we will use "smb://storage01.tchpc.tcd.ie/tester" where "storage01.tchpc.tcd.ie" is the server address and "tester" is the account name and share on the server that we wish to access.
4. The system will then prompt you to enter in a "Username" and "Password", once these details have been entered, click "Ok".
5. The share should now appear in Finder
